About
Hello!
My name is Minna and I am a journalist, writer and teacher from Finland.
I have followed professional tennis through media since 1980´s. I got my wake up call when Martina Navratilova played Chris Evert at Wimbledon final 1985.
In 1994 I started attending Wimbledon myself as a spectator. In 1999 I even worked as a journalist there.
When I started working full time in a local newspaper, I could afford a trip to the US Open. And then another trip. The Australian Open followed in 2005. I liked it so much I could not stay away since.
When I am on a holiday, I am usually on my way to a tennis tournament. Not only to the Grand Slams, but also to tournaments like the Hopman Cup in Perth, Toronto, Montreal, Eastbourne, Rome, Madrid, Hamburg and of course my neighbor tournament, the Stockholm Open.
English is not my mother tongue, so forgive any vocabulary or grammatical flaws I might have.
Like my writing? I welcome any commercial tennis writing projects!
